Practice Consultant - Technical Practice Advisor to Accountants

1. Leadership of or Responsible for:

• Provision of technical support services in the areas of auditing & financial reporting to accountants in Practice
• Development of technical tools & templates to support Irish accountants 

2. Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Providing technical support services to accountancy practices in the areas of auditing, financial reporting and company law.
• Conducting hot & cold file reviews.
• Providing technical support services to OmniPro Practice Consulting Department.
• Managing the OmniPro Technical Query Desk
• Providing client support services for OmniPro Practice Support.
• Liaising with clients to identify & define their requirements.
• Creating new tools to support accountants practically & technically.
• Development of technical templates, tools & resources.
• Writing technical articles for AccountingNet.ie.

3. Skills & Knowledge Required:

• In-depth knowledge of Auditing Standards
• Excellent knowledge of both FRS & IFRS
• Researching Technical Queries
• Problem Solving
• Attention to Detail
• Presentation & Speaking Skills
• Communication Skills
• Sales Skills

4. Qualifications Required:

• Professional Accounting Qualification

In addition a qualification in one of the following areas would prove desirable

• Financial Reporting
• Company Law
• Taxation

5. Experience Required:

• Top 20 Audit Experience
• Minimum of 4 Years PQE
• Experience of Large & SME Auditing
• Consulting Experience

6. Role Location:

• This role is primarily office based in the South East but with time there will be the opportunity for outward bound client interaction.

7. Salary Range

• €40,000 - €60,000 DOE
